CEAA Environmental Assessment for the Planning and Construction of the Victoria International Marina (Victoria, BC)

This project included the completion of a detailed Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) Screening Study for the construction of a new marina in Victoria Harbour.

The studies included a detailed marine habitat assessment using SCUBA to document and classify the biological and physical marine environment.

The study included marine sediment sampling, development of project specific environmental protection plans (EPP’s), permits and approvals, habitat compensation, public consultation, and monitoring of dredging and pile driving works.

This project passed a detailed agency review by Transport Canada, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Environment Canada, the Provincial Department of the Integrated Land Management Bureau.
